A well-coordinated door package begins with clear project information. The following points are intended as practical design and procurement guidance; final requirements must follow the approved project documents and applicable regulations.
Start with the opening, not only the leaf
Confirm wall type, finished opening size, threshold condition, handing and clear-opening requirement. A door schedule is most useful when it is cross-checked against plans, elevations and wall details.
Treat hardware as part of the assembly
Hinges, closers, locks, panic devices, seals and access-control interfaces affect how the door performs. Avoid late substitutions without reviewing compatibility and fire evidence.
Close the documentation loop
Before manufacture, align the approved schedule, shop drawings, finish samples and installation details. At handover, retain labels, inspection records and maintenance guidance.
Share the schedule and key drawings with the JC Fire Door team for a project-specific discussion.
